That's quite a typical notion in persistent object systems. Memory identifiers are not enough when you have to persist objects. Currently SDO objects have one identity, but this one is non-durable, it is only valid as part of the SDO datagraph (XMLdocument). We need to transform this identity into something usable by the DAS.
